God knows and loves you

Dear wonderful church family!

This week has been a mixed one for me; there has been some great moments and also some moments of sadness and reflection. In one of those moments a friend sent me this passage: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name." Psalms 147:3-4 NIV

I love this passage because it shows the vastness of a God that is way bigger than we could ever comprehend or imagine. He is the God that cares deeply about us, our emotions and what is going on in our lives, he sits with us in the sadness and puts us back together. Whilst also being the God that determines the stars and calls them by name... There are 200 billion trillion stars that we can see in this universe, written as a number thats: 200,000,000,000,000,000,000,000!

However this week has been for you, know that he is a God that knows and loves you, puts you back together and is big enough to deal with anything you are walking through. Keep giving it all to Jesus and keep supporting those around you and pointing them to Jesus.

Equip Kent is a foundation course in Christian leadership, designed for anyone who wants to grow in their theological knowledge, biblical studies, mission, leadership and ministry practice so they can be better equipped to serve Jesus and His church. We are a family here at New Wells and we want to equip and invest in all stages of life. As part of investing in various life stages, in October we are running a marriage course which is for those who would like to strengthen and invest in their marriage. In Memory of Wendy (Sue) Bishop
For those who knew and loved Wendy (Sue) Bishop, her funeral will be held on Monday 28th September at 12.30pm at Charing Crematorium followed by a wake at the Holiday Inn Ashford (North A20). Wendy requested that people avoid wearing black and wear bright colours instead. She also requested no flowers, and any donations to be made to the Pilgrims Hospice or the City of Canterbury Band. Thanksgiving Service for the life of Christine Ann Short
A Thanksgiving Service for the life of Christine will be held on:
Monday 5 October at 1:30pm New Wells, Ashford
There will be an opportunity during the service for anyone to share a memory or tribute to Christine. Donations to Alzheimer's Society in memory of Christine will be welcome.

IMMERSE - THIS SUNDAY
Sunday 27th Sep | 7pm | New Wells Ashford
Immerse is our monthly evening service (which is always the last Sunday of the month) where we worship, listen to God and immerse ourselves in His presence. We want this space to be one that everyone can engage with no matter their age so please feel welcome to bring your children or little ones along.
