You are the light of the world
Dear church family
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:14-16.
This weekend we have our Community Connects in Ashford and Finberry. The reason we do these events is to love and serve our local community and in doing so we hope to share God's love and shine His light. These events are a powerful opportunity to show kindness, build relationships, and share the love of Christ in practical ways.
If you are unable to come and help with these events, we would love you to pray! Pray that people have fun, pray they are safe but most importantly pray that they are able to hear about Jesus through those who are there. Pray that as they go into our building to go on MAF's flight simulator they encounter God's presence, pray that there is a sense of the Holy Spirit throughout both events.
Please join us in asking God to use these events to shine His light and draw people closer to Jesus.
