Selah

| Dear church family A word we often use to describe our summer at New Wells is 'Selah.' This word is found throughout the Psalms and is often understood as a pause or musical interlude: a moment to stop, reflect and let what has just been said settle deeply into the heart. Over August we pause many of our usual activities. This is not because church life is any less important, but because rest, space and stillness are also part of faithful discipleship. Sometimes we need room to breathe, be present with God, enjoy one another without rushing and allow our souls to catch up with our lives. We hope this quieter rhythm will be a gift: a chance to notice God in ordinary moments, to rest well, to reconnect with family and friends, and to return refreshed for the autumn season ahead. Wherever August takes you, may it include moments of Selah: pause, breathe, listen, and receive God's peace. As we pause let us also prioritise prayer, please be praying for: parents juggling work and childcare, volunteers, leaders, our young people and children on their summer holidays, those travelling, those needing rest and for one another. IMMERSE | THIS SUNDAY Sunday 26th July | 7pm | New Wells Ashford Immerse is our monthly evening service (which is always the last Sunday of the month) where we worship, listen to God and immerse ourselves in His presence. We want this space to be one that everyone can engage with no matter their age so please feel welcome to bring your children or little ones along.
