Dear church family

As we have just completed three weeks of prayer and fasting, I thought I would take this opportunity to showcase our regular prayer activities that we encourage you to engage with. Paul instructed the Thessalonians to:

'Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus' - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Facebook Prayers
Every week day at 8am, we use Facebook live video to pray for 15-30 minutes about all kinds of things often using scripture as inspiration. Why don't you tune in as part of your daily devotions? If 8am is not a good time for you, go to the recording at a time that better suits you. Find us at www.facebook.co/newwells.church

Prayer Chain
Did you know that we have an email prayer chain where you can send prayer requests (having obtained permission if asking on behalf of someone else)? Email prayer requests to prayer@newwells.church.
Perhaps you would like to be a member of this intercession team to receive the emails and pray in your own time. If you would like to be added to the team, contact paula.chegwin@newwells.church. All prayer requests are kept confidential and intercessors are required to respect that by not speaking about them to anyone, even if they are part of the team.

Early Morning Prayers
Every Wednesday morning at 6:30am, we gather via zoom to pray as the Holy Spirit leads. We pray for all things near and far and often pray around the world and back home again. The meeting lasts one hour, but people sometimes pop in as and when they can during that hour. If you can spare the whole hour or just 15 minutes, jump on the call and give it a go! Pre-Service Prayers
You are invited to join us at the front of the church at 9:45am every Sunday morning. You may have noticed some people praying on the front row. They are praying for the service and all teams that serve, including children and youth. Please do join us - just pick a seat or sit on the side of the stage and join in! You need no further invite and don't need permission - we would be delighted for you to join us!

Power Hour
Every other Thursday at 8pm, we join together for whole church prayers which means the whole church is called to worship and pray for one hour together at our Ashford site. Some Thursdays we join with the Brabourne congregation at either the Brabourne or Ashford site at 7pm. These changes are advertised in the weekly update, on the slide before the service and on social media.

The psalmist declares in Psalm 127:1: 'Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain'. Without prayer there is no lasting action.

New Discipleship Group | Alternate Thursdays from 12th March | 1 - 3pm | Willesborough
We are excited to announce that we will be starting a new discipleship group in Willesborough every other Thursday afternoon from 12th March. If this is something you would like to join, please get in touch with Kelly kelly.carolan@newwells.church.

Finberry Vision Meeting | Sunday 8th February 6pm | New Wells Ashford
During this evening, we will be sharing the progress to date for the Finberry site, but mostly it will be a time for you to ask questions, share ideas, words of encouragement or direction.
We will also be providing care for children, so families can come along and fully engage in the evening. Please let Kelly or Matt Wardley know if you plan to bring children.

MARRIAGE COURSE | Starting Wednesday 11th Feb 7:15pm for 7 weeks | New Wells Ashford
We are a family here at New Wells and we want to equip and invest in all stages of life. As part of investing in various life stages, in February we are beginning a marriage course which is for those who would like to strengthen and invest in their marriage. It is a 7 week course that has fantastic content, well worth going to. If you are interested in coming along please email Anne at anne.casse@newwells.church.

HOLIDAY CLUB | Monday 16th Feb-Wednesday 18th Feb | 10am-12pm
Our kids holiday club is coming up in two weeks time. We need your help to bless the community together. Please be praying, share the word and invite people you know with children. If you are available to serve at one or more, please sign up here.
