JOY

Hello Church Family,

This weeks theme of Advent is Joy. We often think of joy as an experience of happiness based on favourable circumstances and an absence of pain and suffering. But when joy is dependant on circumstance it can fade quickly when 'good times' end and tough seasons happen.

Advent joy that we celebrate is a deep sense of safety and freedom people feel because of God's loving character, which remains constant through all circumstances, and because we can trust that God is still good and will heal all of creation as he has promised.
As a church let's be praying for joy for all people this Christmas! Joy for those in blessed circumstances. Joy for those in seasons of trial. Joy for those rejoicing. Joy for those mourning. Joy for those with much. Joy for those with little. Joy for young and joy for old.

This season the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), keep leaning into him, he is the one who draws close, who promises to wipe away every tear and redeem all creation.

MESSY CHRISTMAS | Saturday 13th December | New Wells Ashford

We'd love to see you at Messy Christmas tomorrow! There are still some limited spaces in session two and three. If you would like to serve at Messy Christmas and haven't signed up, just arrive and throw yourself in :)

We will have our Nativity photo booth, petting zoo, crafts, The Well refreshments, hot dogs and a gift for every child.
Session two | 12:30 - 2pm
Session three | 2:30pm - 4pm

*Also, if you enjoy making baked goods we would love you to bring some to Messy Christmas for us to give out at The Well. If you are happy to make some baked goods please contact Elena at TheWell@newwells.church and also make sure to list all the ingredients when you hand it in so we can ensure nobody is given something they can't have ?




CHURCH FAMILY CHRISTMAS QUIZ | Tuesday 16th December | 7pm
Join us on the 16th for a Church Family Christmas Quiz!
We will be serving some light refreshments but please feel free to bring along some snacks and drinks that you like! This is for anyone who considers themselves part of our New Wells family and their friends.

Invite your world to Christmas for everyone! This week we flyered the entire Finberry estate and are believing that we are going to see a huge amount of guests from personal invites and flyering. If you would like the digital invite to send to people, get in touch!
