New Wells is growing, and we believe God is calling us to open new wells across Ashford and the surrounding areas — places where people can encounter Him, find community, and discover purpose.
Finberry is one of those places.
Located at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, New Wells Finberry is a brand-new church community launching this April. Our heart is simple: to create a space where everyone feels they belong and can encounter Jesus for themselves.
Whether you’ve been part of church for years or are just exploring faith, you are so welcome.

Meet the Finberry team
Matt Wardley
Pastor
Matt joined the team as Children and Families Pastor at New Wells Ashford in August 2025, coming from a multi-site church in Leicester. Matt has a passion for discipling children to know God for themselves, equipping families and reaching local communities that don’t know Jesus yet. He has a degree in Practical theology with children’s and Families work.
Kelly Carolan (Boylan)
Pastor
Kelly has recently stepped into the role of Pastor after faithfully serving on the New Wells Leadership Team and as an Elder. Originally from Ireland, she will begin training in September as a Recognised Local Minister. Kelly is passionate about sharing God’s word and helping people discover who they are in God’s eyes — loved, called, and created with purpose.
Matt & Tash Woodhill
Core team
Matt and Tash have been part of the New Wells family since 2019 and are involved in many areas of church life. They both love cooking and hosting and have a heart for hospitality. They also have a passion for discipleship and in particular seeing young adults grow in their walk with Jesus.
Matt works full time as a Patent Attorney and Tash is a full time bookkeeper in a family run accounting business. They have a young son, Jacob, and in between parenting, working and serving in the church, they love to be outdoors in nature or spending time with friends and family.
